I put together this still life with some flowers left over from a family wedding. The little freesia had so many colours in it, I echoed some of them in the choice of fabric background, then by submerging the flower in water in this tiny teardrop vase the most delicate and beautiful rainbow appeared. I am very proud of this painting, I think it works on all levels. I think other artists will understand what I mean when I say its unusual to feel this way about your work.
